Your stress and anxiety are impacting your sleep, work performance, and relationships and you are ready for help.
What is Anxiety?
Anxiety is the anticipation of future threats. Anxiety creates thoughts of worry, impacts your body, and you feel emotionally tense.
Anxiety can show up in two ways:
Anxiety can be an emotional experience. You can feel anxious about an upcoming public speaking event, but it is a temporary feeling. You know that your anxiety will pass.
Anxiety can be a more long-term issue that impacts your life. Some people are pre-disposed to experiencing anxiety and have experienced throughout their lifetime. Also, major life events create anxious responses: a stressful job, a difficult relationship, getting divorced, or having a baby are just some life events that can increase your stress and anxiety.

My approach to Healing From Anxiety
Does your anxiety need a plan? Creating a plan for your anxiety in therapy can look different for everyone, but two main principles will apply.
Therapy for anxiety helps give everyone skills to sit with your anxiety and tools to help your better manage your anxiety.
Both are necessary. Both take practice. Both need skills. Both are a part of the plan.
Sitting with anxiety is one half of the plan. Adding the tools to use before, during, and after anxiety feels really big is the other half of the plan.
I cannot promise that you will live an stress-free life, but we can create a plan that works for you to help you navigate those stressors when the arise. Some of the tools that you will add into your Anxiety Plan will include mindfulness, a self-compassion practice, self-care, and research based coping skills.
